My husband & I are currently enrolled in Wendy’s online fitness classes through the Zoom platform. Wendy does an outstanding job with all her classes. They are very challenging and she ensures all elements of exercise are completed correctly with excellent verbal guidance. We both feel this is the best shape we have been in for several years and we will remain doing her online home exercise classes for as long as she offers them.

Wendy Armstrong has been working with me for three years.  At first I started with one Pilates class.  After a year, I made the decision to try other classes she offered.  I enjoy her enthusiasm and energy for what she does.  She certainly connects with her clients.  Wendy has always been very encouraging to me to work out of my own comfort zone and to do the best I can.  She acknowledges hard work and accomplishments, answers my quick questions after class and gives advice with her wide knowledge of fitness.  I never walk out of class bored as Wendy always mixes it up.  I can honestly say I am stronger and fitter than I've ever been.  The improvement has certainly helped in all facets of my life.

A few years ago, a series of muscle strains and injuries brought home to me the importance of developing and maintaining a strong core. Based on many recommendations from friends, I got in touch with Wendy. She put together the first of several personalized fitness plans for me, and suggested Pilates as well-- which I love! Wendy works with clients of all ages and fitness levels, and she understands that not all of us are elite athletes. I really like that she encourages me to challenge myself while providing modifications so I can work safely through injury. She gives instructions in plain, clear language, and she has a great sense of humour. I warmly recommend Wendy to anyone who wants to improve their fitness level and have fun doing it!

​I’m an A-type personality and I think/research too much. But all I really need is Wendy to keep me accountable and, as she has said, “less thinking, more doing". I semi-dread our weekly training sessions (beware: purple carpet sliders!) but I always feel amazing once we’re done. Wendy is a remarkable source of information and encouragement but she doesn’t sugar-coat the reality that achieving ‘health’ takes hard work.

​I started in Wendy's Pilates class after my first child when I could no longer find my abs and had back and shoulder pain from baby carrying. Not only did she help me find my core muscles (and many more!), she brought back my inspiration to be fit. I went on to join her Bootcamp and TRX classes. It's now been 10 years since I started that first Pilates class and I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to Wendy.

From the first of Wendy’s exercise classes I attended, I knew she was special. She made a point of getting to know each class participant by name and observed carefully in order to provide modifications to suit each person.

Wendy is on top of her game in knowledge of current exercise physiology and brings joy and enthusiasm to every class and personal training session. She always changes things up ensuring a fun and engaging workout.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Wendy has been providing on-line classes. The classes are motivating, efficient and convenient. It’s so great to have my favourite instructor in my house!

I have taken a wide variety of group fitness programs from Wendy for the past year.  She is a positive, strong motivating person who inspires me to push myself to achieve my best in every workout. Wendy not only helps me push myself but focuses on my form so I get the best out of each exercise - safely.  She's fun to work with and I laugh out loud regularly in her classes.  Wendy has been listening to my fitness and nutrition goals as they've evolved in the last year and is constantly challenging me to succeed in them.  I have previously worked from DVDs, other classes, and independently for years - I have not ever had the success that I have had in the past year in overall body fitness and strength.  Wendy has helped me to be stronger than  I thought I could be and now I know I can do even more.

If you're serious about increasing your energy levels and becoming more physically fit Wendy will get you there.  She is always encouraging you to push your limits but is also very watchful that you are maintaining proper form with every exercise so you avoid injury.  If you are ready to challenge yourself, Wendy will you keep you working all the way to the end of each class, usually with a smile on your face.

To whom it may concern....

Run, run fast, run now!
By the time you have read this it is probably too late.

Wendy Armstrong has been kicking lazy butt in this town for the past 12 yrs.
You know your one lazy ****** when you drag your sweat and vomit soaked bodies out of her spin class, praying that you can get your leg up high enough to slide into your car and then see that master of torture out on a run!

It takes all you have to be able to lift your damn arm after another grueling trx class to wave!

You wave only because the effort and ab work it takes to turn the steering wheel quickly and run her off the sidewalk isn't happening due to the pilates class you took on Friday!

Dont even get me started on Tabata!!
Last time I collapsed she told me if I was really working hard I would stay down!

Wendy...you'll learn to love her!

Let me say I'm a yoga person originally who has practiced for about nine years.  I decided to try a Pilates class with Wendy because she came highly recommended and I wanted a better core workout.  She certainly tuned me up!  She is very knowledgable, conscientious and thoroughly dedicated.  I quickly learned the importance of breath in Pilates (different from Yoga) and as a result was better at both Pilates & Yoga.  

Pilates makes you think, as she reminds us about which muscles are working and how the breath helps one concentrate on using the right muscles involved in any exercise.

I also take a TRX class with Wendy in order to get full body toning.  Well, the Pilates has prepared me for this class too! Being better able to recognize when my core muscles are being used and how they are used makes this class very enjoyable while enabling me to tone up.

Wendy is straightforward and encouraging.  She bring a wealth of experience to her classes, changes things up, explains everything clearly and corrects you if you need it.  She is enthusiastic and has a great sense of humour.  I want to be able to play with my grandkids without exhausting myself.  These classes, and Wendy, have done it for me.  I feel better than I have in years!
