A week without Wendy just isn't complete! Along with muscle strengthening, Wendy is guiding me towards making better food choices and helping me achieve my ideal body image. Her classes are high energy, unique and always fun!
Wendy Armstrong has been working with me for three years. At first I started with one Pilates class. After a year, I made the decision to try other classes she offered. I enjoy her enthusiasm and energy for what she does. She certainly connects with her clients. Wendy has always been very encouraging to me to work out of my own comfort zone and to do the best I can. She acknowledges hard work and accomplishments, answers my quick questions after class and gives advice with her wide knowledge of fitness. I never walk out of class bored as Wendy always mixes it up. I can honestly say I am stronger and fitter than I've ever been. The improvement has certainly helped in all facets of my life.
A few years ago, a series of muscle strains and injuries brought home to me the importance of developing and maintaining a strong core. Based on many recommendations from friends, I got in touch with Wendy. She put together the first of several personalized fitness plans for me, and suggested Pilates as well-- which I love! Wendy works with clients of all ages and fitness levels, and she understands that not all of us are elite athletes. I really like that she encourages me to challenge myself while providing modifications so I can work safely through injury. She gives instructions in plain, clear language, and she has a great sense of humour. I warmly recommend Wendy to anyone who wants to improve their fitness level and have fun doing it!
I’m an A-type personality and I think/research too much. But all I really need is Wendy to keep me accountable and, as she has said, “less thinking, more doing". I semi-dread our weekly training sessions (beware: purple carpet sliders!) but I always feel amazing once we’re done. Wendy is a remarkable source of information and encouragement but she doesn’t sugar-coat the reality that achieving ‘health’ takes hard work.
I started in Wendy's Pilates class after my first child when I could no longer find my abs and had back and shoulder pain from baby carrying. Not only did she help me find my core muscles (and many more!), she brought back my inspiration to be fit. I went on to join her Bootcamp and TRX classes. It's now been 10 years since I started that first Pilates class and I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to Wendy.
I have taken a wide variety of group fitness programs from Wendy for the past year. She is a positive, strong motivating person who inspires me to push myself to achieve my best in every workout. Wendy not only helps me push myself but focuses on my form so I get the best out of each exercise - safely. She's fun to work with and I laugh out loud regularly in her classes. Wendy has been listening to my fitness and nutrition goals as they've evolved in the last year and is constantly challenging me to succeed in them. I have previously worked from DVDs, other classes, and independently for years - I have not ever had the success that I have had in the past year in overall body fitness and strength. Wendy has helped me to be stronger than I thought I could be and now I know I can do even more.
If you're serious about increasing your energy levels and becoming more physically fit Wendy will get you there. She is always encouraging you to push your limits but is also very watchful that you are maintaining proper form with every exercise so you avoid injury. If you are ready to challenge yourself, Wendy will you keep you working all the way to the end of each class, usually with a smile on your face.

Let me say I'm a yoga person originally who has practiced for about nine years. I decided to try a Pilates class with Wendy because she came highly recommended and I wanted a better core workout. She certainly tuned me up! She is very knowledgable, conscientious and thoroughly dedicated. I quickly learned the importance of breath in Pilates (different from Yoga) and as a result was better at both Pilates & Yoga.
